We're thrilled to have come away from the Waipa Networks Business Awards with three lovely trophies - Rouge won Excellence in Sustainability for the second year running, as well as Excellence in Community Contribution. Both sustainability and community are things which we're really passionate about and form part of our key values, so to be recognised in these categories is amazing. Phil also won the emerging business leader award - feeling both very proud and very humbled by this.
Have you tried our Matariki Chowder yet? - Cloudy Bay Clams and Moko Smoked Eel in a creamy chowder with Jerusalem artichoke, spinach and horopito.
It's all part of the Waikato Food Inc Matariki Menu Challenge running until 19 July.
If you enjoy our Matariki Chowder make sure you vote for us on your smartphone with the FindUs app (ask for the QR voting code at the counter). And you will go in the draw to WIN a weekend for two at Dreamcatcher Lodge in Raglan from Sleeping Lady Lodging AND dinner at one of Raglans best eateries.
That's right, it's our birthday today - 6 years ago we first opened the doors at Rouge!
Here are today's lunch specials:
Rouge has won the Sustainability Champion of the Month Award for April! The Sustainability Champions program is a partnership between Cambridge Chamber of Commerce and Waikato Regional Council. Phil was presented with the award at a recent Cambridge Chamber of Commerce "Networking over Coffee" event.
Here's what they had to say about us:
Rouge will be closed Saturday out of respect for those who have fought and died for our country.
Due to the Mondayisation we will also be closed for the Monday public holiday. (Sunday we'll be open 7.30am-4pm as usual).
